With the cover, the form factor looks less strange, but then other people looking at you just see black. The glasses sit up pretty high, which makes them look a bit weird. Also, while it augments a "floating screen" with movement sensors (so the screen can stick in space in that mode, instead of moving along with your head), don't expect AR like Pokemon Go - there's no camera that would allow proper placement. ![]() However, I wish some features were possible without it, like adjusting IPD and screen size - esp. My phone doesn't support the "AR mode" in the app, so I can't say much about it. The other eye usually makes up for this when watching movies, but it can be hard to read smaller text, like when using those glasses as monitor. It seems like some people with 20:20 vision have the same issue. While diopter adjustment works great, I couldn't get the screen sharp where it borders the nose. The percepted distance differs for me, depening on whether I use the cover (closer with cover) and wether I watch 3D movies, but usually I'd say it seems about 1.5 - 3 meters away. The screen didn't seem like a 200" screen far away to me, but it's a good size for movies, without "first row in cinema" effect. Other people can hear it, but it's quite soft, a bit less than an on-ear headphone. The speakers' quality is about like an average smartphone - way from HiFi, but good enough to understand everything. It also shows 3D movies (half side-by-side) easily. First of all, it's a really good personal "TV screen" in a handy form factor.
